Some experiences I had regarding Blockbuster and Netflix

1. I contacted Blockbuster to ask if they had Blu-ray movies and they do have blu-ray available to rent. I'm surprised Blockbuster hadn't put that info up-front on their web site! Netflix made it clearer that they have Blu-ray in their advertising. I was also asking blockbuster why it chargets $11.99 per month for the one at a time plan vs. the $8.99 plan that Netflix offers with the Netflix one at a time plan.

2. So, here's what I thought I would do when one of my Comcast package deals expired. Get an Apple TV for $220 USD. Then during the seasons where I'm waiting several months for Comcast to have another 6 month deal, cancel and don't use comcast and just rent the movies we like on the Apple TV! Meanwhile this will give time for the Blu-ray players to come down in price. When they do, start a subscription with Netflix, until the prices of blu-ray movies come down. That's my highly strategic plan...!
